Biomedix® has partnered with the American College of Foot & Ankle Orthopedics & Medicine (ACFAOM)

ACFAOM
BioMedix has partnered with a well-established national podiatric medical comprehensive credentialing program to train technicians to operate BioMedix’s PADnet™ vascular testing equipment, technology developed for the early detection of P.A.D.

BioMedixThe comprehensive training and credentialing program consists of three components:
  • Informational tools including the PADnet Techinical Training Manual and the PADnet User Guide
  • On-site training by a Clinical Specialist demonstrating how to perform an Ankle-Brachial Index (ABI), Segmental Pressures*, Toe-Brachial Index* (TBI), Pulse Volume Recordings (PVR) and venous refill* using the PADnet system
  • Content-based examination that tests on operation of the PADnet equipment, patient selection criteria, and how to educate the patient about the test.

The requirements for credentialing are:
  • Completion of the PADnet training program
  • Passage of a web-based examination
  • Completion of 10 test on patients, reviewed for accuracy and quality of results

Partnership Certificate
After successful completion of the ACFAOM training and credentialing program, ACFAOM will award a Certificate of Competence in Community-Based Peripheral Arterial Testing. This certificate verifies a technician's proficiency in operating PADnet equipment. If a technician does not successfully complete the training program, a Clinical Specialist may provide additional training.
